I'm currently at comfort level 41 for a total of 51 minutes.

I am currently at 69 with 1 hour and 14 minutes on the rested buff duration. Comfort level 100 I think gives 1 hour 45 minutes.

I've managed to get 65 with 1hour and 15 minutes. Dunno how people go beyond that.
What i know is:
You can use two tables bamboo nighstand and any other of 3 tables.
Iron bench is not working for me had to use stone one.
In case of trophees You need one so best to farm first brute from the well to get enough heads to get +3 .
Also in my case trophy and wall paiting seem to be the same category.
Best carpet appeared on the right side of crafting menu instead of usuall left side.
Fireplace can be used to get coverage of temperature in the house but use the cheapest one because altar is considered in that category and gives the best bonus so hide that ugly stone ones under the floor.
All 4 items in bathroom are considered separate category so do all 4.

You likely have the Well Rested skill which provides a further 5 mins of comfort time.

Im at comfort lvl 62 with 1hr 12mins of comfort.

I really cant be bothered cramming anymore into my house.

I'm at 69 how did you get to 100? with the current placebles i believe 69 is the max level currently.

100 is max in the games code. you cannot reach it normally aside some bugs.

to clear up some confusion on this subject i have noticed around the net by now in many guides :

the current max comfort without the perk is 69.
with the perk its 74.

there is people saying iron bench doesnt work etc.

thats not quiete correct.

there is a few bugs with comfort boosting items currently.

chairs are supposed to stack with a throne. however chairs ARE NOT supposed to stack with themselfs. yet the STONE CHAIR and only that one stacks with all other chairs. so thats 4 comfort rating thats is a bug. all other chairs dont stack with themselfs. so its safe to assume this chair is bugged.

the other bug is the iron bench. people reporting that bench as not working for them. the bench is working.

HOWEVER that iron bench and only that one is incorrectly flagged as a CHAIR. so it doesnt work with a palmwood chair already placed. as both are provideing the same bonus for the same slot.

so the 2 bugs are :

stone chair stacking with its own type.
iron bench beeing classified as a chair internally (not visible ingame) in the files.

bear these in mind.

the max non bug comfort rating therefore is currently 65 without the perk and 70 with the perk. add 4 to each if you wanna use the bugged stone chair.

the supposed max is 66 without any bugs. and 71 with the perk. since you lose 1 comfort from the bench bug but you can gain 4 comfort from the bugged stone chair.

So I've not found a concise list online on how to get to 69 so HERE IT IS. I have a clean base build and found the items needed. I built a new base just 1 room and tested just the list below.

The tricky one was the STONE CHAIR counts for +4, in addition to the Palm Wood Chair being +5. The STONE BENCH also counts +4, in addition to the +5 Iron Bench. Last, I also somehow missed the 'Tables' section having 4 types to craft and you want 3 of the 4 (don't need side table, just bedside table).

But here is the full MINIMAL list to get to 69 (you need a grand total of just 14 items):

+5 Flame Altar Base Comfort with Shelter/Warmth (note that gives you a start of 10 minutes so 69 max comfort but 74 minutes; skill can raise 5 more minutes to 79 minutes but still 69 comfort level); None of the fireplaces give any value (despite what it says)
+4 Carpet (watch out, it's at end of the list, the 1st two straw matts are only +3)
+3 Wall Decoration (any painting OR iron trophy, just need 1)
+6 Palm Wood Bed
+5 Palm Wood Banquet Table
+5 Palm Wood Bedside Table (no need for palm wood side table)
+7 Sand Throne
+4 Stone Chair
+5 Iron Bench
+4 Stone Bench
+4 Stone Sink
+4 Stone Lavatory
+4 Copper Bathtub
+4 Stone Shower
+5 Chandelier (no other lights needed)

There does seem to be some sort of caps on comfort that I haven't figured out. Maybe somebody here can.
Today I was at comfort level 48 and had 58 minutes of comfort. I then crafted a Palmwood side table which gives a +5 to comfort. But when I crafted/placed the table, My comfort score only went up two to 50 and my comfort time also only went up 2 to 1:00hr

I'm not complaining, as 1 hour is plenty of time. I'm always back at my base within 1 hour, but there does seem to be a cap. I've read posts saying the max is 100 comfort score with 2hr.

The highest furniture of the type is the only one that is supposed to count, so your new table at +5 replace a +3 table in your comfort total.

The reason why You got only 2 is because You already have item that gives 3 in the same category. Just above Your post there are two great comments with all the info needed in regards of comfort.
