Motion Sickness
Hey everyone! I wanted to know if anyone else is having problems with motion sickness in this game. I turned on reduced dynamic camera motion and even screen shaking but I still start to feel sick. I don't usually have problems with other games after I turn off motion blur, so I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with Enshrouded? Thanks!

I feel motion sickness too. i have the same issue with Returnal PS5. Is there any solution for that? I am going to refund the game. It is a pity, because the game looks so good.

This happens to my friend a lot but he really loves games, he said the only thing thats worked for him is the games that let you put a reticle in the center of the screen (some monitors actually have this built in to their settings menu), if the game/monitor doesnt let you do that put a sticker there, it lets your eyes focus on things better when rotating the camera. you may also want to increase your FOV. hope this helps.

Locking FPS to something below what your PC can do on average also helps since it makes everything more fluid. Also increasing FOV is also supposed to help.

It is indeed caused by the game's godawful camera pan stuttering. Devs claimed to be trying to fix it, but given the length of time, doubt it will ever be addressed. There is no "fix" for it that I am aware of, and settings/pc spec have no affect on it. (Using a 4090/7800x3d and it annoys me to no end as well.)

The camera is fine here, no motion sickness, no pan sttutering, my main issue with the graphics is the bloom, i hope the include a option to turn that off.

last I checked, there are 2 ReShade presets on Nexus that minimize the bloom almost completely. It’s not an ideal option, but it’s better than nothing until an official setting gets added.

Thx for that, gonna check nexus out.

For myself is the fish eye camera the screen seems to bend in at the corners making everything feel wonky.

The biggest tips I have for avoiding motion sickness with this game are to turn Camera Smoothing and Reduce Dynamic Camera Motion on and shut off Screen Shake. Then play around with the FoV setting until you get it to something that works for you. I find slightly higher settings tend to work best for me.

Yep, to a point it does but when it is set very high in most games it produces an undesirable fish eye effect.

That's usually an issue with your FOV being set way too high, try turning it down a bit.

The game still needs user specified settings for graphics. My husband and I have identical PCs except his GPU is one generation behind mine, so he doesn't get as much bloom as mine. And I detest bloom in any game I've ever played but have always had the ability to turn it off until this game.

This means that what appears fine to you but not another player depends upon both what GPU you have and your graphics preferences.

So I don't doubt that some players may experience motion sickness while others do not, especially because motion sickness varies so much between people in real life, so of course that transfers to games as well.

I used to suffer from motion sickness in real life and in games. However, games helped to cure me of it. It turns out that motion sickness is caused by a disconnect between what your eyes see and your body feels. That's why some people are more likely to experience motion sickness in the back seat of a car, but are fine if they're driving. If you're driving your eyes are on the road. If you're in the back seat, you're probably staring out a side window, so don't see the road curving or otherwise changing direction.

Knowing this may not help cure it for everyone. The important part is that the degree of motion sickness that people experience is just as varied in games as it is between people in real life while in a fast moving vehicle.

Try switching anti-aliasing modes. It made game a lot sharper for me.

I can also be affected by dehydration and lack of blinking, sore eyes can set me off and i've even had games give me vertigo..
