I actually plan where I want to go, and then i head there, and then teleport back to my base, to drop off my stuff in the various storage boxes, reapply my rest bonus, refill my arrows potions and stuff, repair my equipment, and upgrade if I can. and then plan for the next trip.
But I guess if you play the game like an adventure game, thus always wondering around like a nomad, and neglect the base and survival stuff, I can see that being a problem as you just said with the full back pack problem.
One way to solve the deleting of your stuff is to use the multiple fire alters that you can build as temporary way points to teleport to and from and deleting them once your done.
You got two alters at the start of the game. So you can use one for your main base, and use the other as a temporary teleport spot.
What I mean is, when your out and about, and your backpack is getting full, you can craft a alter on the spot, set it down(I found we can set these anywhere that isnt enshrouded), and then teleport to your main base, deposit your items in your main base storage to clear your backpack, and then, teleport back to that temporary alter you placed while you were adventuring, and then once your back where you left off, You can delete the temporary alter and keep on adventuring.
Thats what ive been doing so I havent had any issues with backpack stuff. i now have 4 alters after upgrading the flame/alter so this only made it easier.
Also, the carpenter magic storage chest are a friggin GOD SEND when crafting.
I get more bothered by weight - half empty backpack/inventory but max weight. But it is what it is
Don't need to see the backpack, the clothing and accessories are whatever the game does.
Been watching Dragon's Dogma 2 players struggle with inventory, and vastly prefer this system over that one!
Exactly, You start off with TWO altars. One for homebase and one for "take a quick trip home" which is pretty easy to do. You can drop it almost anywhere and just teleport back and dump the stuff. It is a typical survival thing. you started off with little (in this case very little) and gather everything from the ground up.
