it rolls right back in.
It makes going to those places to clear out meaningless. I only go there now to get skill points or get boss heads.
because in the tutorial it said that it makes the place clear to explore, but that doesnt seem to be the case, that's why im a bit confused
The tutorial also tells you that the root will grow back.
I clear them now for safe spots to recover shroud protection or to teleport out
I also clear a couple that have tin or iron. Great place to get it.
I believe the Devs have said that in future patches / updates, there will be a way to permanently negate The Shroud.
I've said before, if the Flame Altars "beat back" The Shroud, then let's make the former as ubiquitous as 7-11's in Florida.
That would be bad - cause then you have nothing more to kill after visiting every region - everbody would be dead? Enshrouded is like an open world game or MMO like WoW - not a game with a fix end. So you need respawning enemies and ressources to continue playing - and above all building - in this sandbox world.
That's like 99% of all games on the market.
I was thinking the same thing after clearing wells and then going back later to find the root again?! I was hoping at least in solo play there would be permanence but not sure if that could even be accomplished.
While Enshrouded is a fun game (I'm only 1/2 done with 175 hrs in) it's not even close to a WOW caliber.
I haven't been constructing or repairing buildings ( I know a lot of you are) but I've been doing a ton of exploration as I myself thought/was expecting an end game so I could complete/move on to other games.
I likely won't play this for more than another couple of weeks and now that I know the roots come back and the shroud never disappears I'll need to stop goofing around and mod my game play to finish the quests/story lines quicker than I have been.
