Just grow your own using the Farmer.

Yeah, the Farmer is probably the best way. After rescuing them you can build a Seedbed to turn one into many and then grow your own.

If you mean plant fibers, the little town with the church to the west of the first great spire has a field full of dried out corn. The dried corn plants give lots of plant fibers.

problem is, there is a bug with rake for some, including me. So, no rake, no farm, farmer is kinda useless and there is just a handful if you are running around to get flax as far as I can tell

ive never used a rake to farm? turned the first base area into a farm field and still havent used hammer>farm soil to make a farm field

easily got 100+ flax going. turned 1 sugarcane into at least 100 by now

rake is kinda not great at flattening surfaces? easier to use the hammer

At the begining of the game I was thinking plant fibre was too scarce for what I needed it for.

Last night I ended up planting 450 shrubs around my base and can't see myself running out anytime soon.

The farmer is a godsend for many plant resources

flax is so easy to get lol, seedbed to make seedlings... farm soil to increase growth times.... plant and harvest to make more seedlings to get a crop of X amount going... you shouldn't bother making any linen until you have a crop of at least 100 plants
edit: also make water wells to get water for seedlings or just replace the same well to keep scooping 3 water each time lol

At some villages there are bundles of what appears to be rolled hay. Take an axe to them and they drop around 8-10 fiber per. Not sure what you are using all that fiber for, but good luck!!

Probably won't actually need it for anything if I'm honest, but when I first got the seed bed I had strong memories of searching the plains for shrubs to make string for everything and may have went overboard on the number of shrub seedlings I made.
