Disable Auto-Add Items to Hotbar
This is such a FRUSTRATING feature! Devs, please give us an option to disable items being auto-added to the hotbar. There is nothing fun about accidentally using an item when it's added to the hotbar unexpectedly.

Please also add an option that disables terrain respawning. It creates a feeling of our actions as the players having absolutely no meaning in the game. I may want to build a tunnel or shallow cave for a bit of respite, but not want to put down a flame alter every time I want to keep the terrain from reverting. I don't understand the design decision to have terrain respawn like that, but based on my experience of Valheim I'm assuming it's to prevent save bloat and FPS drop. Personally I'd rather risk a drop in FPS to build and shape what I want where I want, and I would really appreciate the option for that.

I'm having a hard time getting into the game because of these two issues, and from what I've read I'm not the only one frustrated with it. I hope you seriously consider adding these options because I really do want to explore this game, and feel like the changes I make in it matter.

While at it If they could add the option to when in your bag hold down shift and double click to add or remove something from your action bar that would be freaking fantastic 😅

Voted. Hopefully they remove this feature.

As someone looking at this game, why is this even a question of a vote?

Who would EVER want random items they picked up added to their hotbar?

i just keep what i want on my hotbars and dont worry about it.
one for weapons and fighting , the other for building and farming

That's kind of the point, we put what we want on the hotbar, things we want to have quick access to.

Imagine you keep cooked meat on the bar then slaughter a pack of wolves, you start looting them and then go to eat some meat only to realize you have eaten a raw one instead of the cooked one because it was auto added to your bar and now you are suffering from a debuff.

Or just in general cluttering your bar.

if you keep your slot full no items get added to the hot bar. the only time they do is if there is an empty slot...food first aid , back up items in case one breaks , potions. if you have both bars full they never get anything added to them.

My dude it should not be on the player to work around something that should not be a thing in the first place lmao.
I could full my blank slots with rocks for the same effect, the thing is I should not HAVE to.

I'm saddened that the developers STILL haven't addressed this. I decided to stop playing the game while development continues in the hopes they add more QOL features. It's a great game, but how we interact with the game and the gameworld DEFINITELY can use some improvement.

im just saying that everything i have in my hotbars i use all the time and i dont have space for empty slots to worry about it. also if i remember right before you were able to keep everything on your hotbar if you die , so i kept my arrows and bow there as well so i didnt lose them and respawn and might not be able to retrieve items sometimes , but with the settings update you can adjust that to where you keep everything or lose it all.

Playing a Mage build with the ability that enhances your unarmed strike means you need to keep a Hotbar space empty in order to use it efficiently. But you always end up getting crap in that empty space and can't use the unarmed strike.
