Salt Location: Peaceful Acres

I found a new location which is a lot easier to mine salt - just west of the starting location and after the scavengers with mineshaft has been discovered.

where at though? i past the place and dont see a mine for salt

If you look off the edge of the starting base location, towards first well, you will see the little tower about 50 ft or so from the cliff wall. There are steps up it, and a hook for your grappling hook. if you drop off next to hook is a ledge with a chest. Outer edge is salt.

Easy to drop halfway down cliff and glide to it then just port back to base. Takes like 3 min total each time like running over to well each time you come back to base.

actually maybe not. this part of the map im talking about is much closer than a 3 min walk. Would you mind taking a screenshot of the place when you have time?

This is by far the best place to mine salt. You can use the glider to get there from the top of the cliff at the starter base. The top of the tower is NOT in the shroud so you can mine without watching a timer. I got over 300 salt my first run. When you are done you can simply fast travel back to your base since you are not in the shroud.

You greatly underestimate how much salt is needed in the game.

Im looking at the tower in the shroud and see no tower near it aside from one clear off to the right of the shroud tower

Don't look towards the well. From the starting base location head about northeast towards the edge of the plateau and look directly down. I however prefer the saline quarry which is located southeast of the starting base location, hidden inside the end of the miasma that sorta forms a sack. More salt, and can be reached by glider as well. Miasma exit is just a few meters away.

The saline quarry is in no way easier. I went back there by mistake and cannot find my way out of that place. Google where to find salt and watch the Youtube video. Once you know where the tower is, it is hands down the easiest place to farm salt.

bro, right? I was running in circles trying to find an exit. I had to run all the way down south east to find an exit, but died many times doing so
