Actually being able to clear locations is way more interesting then mindlessly killing the same enemy every time you walk passed their base.
now bosses and such yes only for the players who beat them while others can still enter the area who havnt on multiplayer servers
As a side the game already feels empty even with the enemy camps resetting because personally Id rather have NPCs roaming around (not tons just a few randomly) and towns.
as some people like it and some don't
if they just removed it a lot of people would complain
Resources wouldnt be a problem either since you could just plant trees or other things. Also have resources come back after a certain point of time or if you want to make it keep it as is rn as an option. Also just make its so people actually have to play the game like a survival instead of borderline creative mode.
Yeah always like when servers can be completely customizable, the more options the better imo.
Thats what I'm saying just have an option for it would be cool at least. Not really into the change what people like because others dont. But having an option that actually makes the player feel like their impacting the world would be great.
So either it stays gone when the world loads back up, like Valheim, or it just doesn't deplete when someone gathers from a node. Otherwise all you do is have players load the world, grab the stuff, save, load the world again over and over. Just cut the middle step and have it one way or the other. If the resources never deplete then I know I'll park this one for sure, because there's never a reason to really explore to find new material locations and resources, which is a huge part of any of these type games.
For those who say "Valheim had this and we had to make a resource world to get stuff for our main world!!111!!!" I'd say.. No you didn't. Valheim world were HUGE and it's highly doubtful you chopped every tree, dug every tar pit, etc, etc on a single world unless you're trying to make a world-spanning building of some sort. Otherwise there was always some place new to explore and exploit to get the materials needed. It forces people to explore and exploit stuff, which is the nature of these type games.
Happy medium ground, make it a toggle so those who want the true explore experience can do so and leave resources gone when gathered, and those who want more of a creative mode where they never need to go hunt for resources can have it their way instead.
Its kinda the main component of what the game is so I wouldn't call it insignificant tbh.
At the moment this isnt a survival game but a light rpg with survival mechanics set on creative mode.
