We need more people talking about this cause it ruins the flow of good games. It felt smoother on my tv too which is 4k 120 but the game ran at like 60/80 fps but felt smoother than 120 at 1440p
Standard global settings.
Had the issue on some Unity games, which had to be forced into exclusive fullscreen with a parameter. But no idea about this engine.
Tried in windowed, performance mode, with less than 50% usage of CPU/GPU. Same thing, feels like it's stuck at 60 Hz refresh rate.
It really feels defective.
Oh just read it, thanks. Well, i'll hold on on refunding and see if they fix it.
Tried at 500 fps, still felt like 60 fps :P
Dunno if they can or will, but they certainly have the chance to do so. It's not hopeless, but unless they fix it soon. Yeah, it'll say something about where this game is going.
Bought it because i know i can refund it, if there's issues i can't live with, that the devs show no interest in fixing.
terrible performance: stutter, tearing
even on dlss ultra performance settings, seems that even after changing settings [like enabling vsync to cap fps to 60] the issue builds up over short time again forcing you to tune graphical settings again [might be also changing spot on the map or time of day tho idk]
have to play with rtss with fps & frametime as graph to fine tune those settings to get so-so experience - i don't have to tell you how much that breaks the immersion
7 days to die is a 7 fps simulator though. 7 friends, bloodmoon 60 something, 5900x, 2080, 64GB ram and the game just denies to use more cpu to help the poor fps that was 13 fps lol
sorry, but 60 fps is not decent. I do not run 180hz monitor just to have a game, that has no business running so poorly, run at 60-80fps.
With that said I am going to give them a chance to improve and will not refund
