117 FPS feels like <60 fps?
So the performance issues and odd behavior aside, with tweaking i can get 117 fps with GPU/CPU/RAM/GPU-MEM to spare, as i need it to run at.

But moving the camera around, it's extremely stuttery and feels like i'm running at a muuuch lower framerate/refreshrate. It's unbearable to play like that.

Anyone got a fix for this? Or is this an engine limitation, unable to refresh the image to play at 60+ fps. Need to know if i gotta refund it.

Oh just read it, thanks. Well, i'll hold on on refunding and see if they fix it.

Tried at 500 fps, still felt like 60 fps :P
ITs not an engine limitation they said so, atleast they CAN fix it. Im getting this as soon as i see a patch that fixes the most annoying things people complain about, and it seems to become a longer list everyday. The respawns are COMPLETELY messed up for me, they need tof ix that ASAP, and also the progression loss on some players, unacceptable. And ofc this FPS issue...stuttery games = no play.

yeah bro its called the 7 days to die effect. That game had the same issue. I have turned on gsync and also locked my monitor to 165 and it feels a lot smoother.

We need more people talking about this cause it ruins the flow of good games. It felt smoother on my tv too which is 4k 120 but the game ran at like 60/80 fps but felt smoother than 120 at 1440p

I only noticed it when looking around using a controller. Mouse feels smooth so far. Using G sync though.

But i already have G-sync on, vsync forced in NVCP, LLM On, FPS locked -3 fps below monitor refreshrate.. Vsync off ingame, and running fullscreen (But i guess not actual fullscreen, just fake borderless).

Standard global settings.

Had the issue on some Unity games, which had to be forced into exclusive fullscreen with a parameter. But no idea about this engine.

Tried in windowed, performance mode, with less than 50% usage of CPU/GPU. Same thing, feels like it's stuck at 60 Hz refresh rate.

It really feels defective.

Dunno if they can or will, but they certainly have the chance to do so. It's not hopeless, but unless they fix it soon. Yeah, it'll say something about where this game is going.

Bought it because i know i can refund it, if there's issues i can't live with, that the devs show no interest in fixing.

gigabyte 4090 here with everything up to date from bios to windows defender on w11, all settings maxed on 3840×2160 resolution, no other game even starfield when had no dlss showed such issues

terrible performance: stutter, tearing
even on dlss ultra performance settings, seems that even after changing settings [like enabling vsync to cap fps to 60] the issue builds up over short time again forcing you to tune graphical settings again [might be also changing spot on the map or time of day tho idk]

have to play with rtss with fps & frametime as graph to fine tune those settings to get so-so experience - i don't have to tell you how much that breaks the immersion

yep, it runs horribly. Star Citizen I can run at 120fps on high, but Enshrouded is choppy at 70fps at medium, high and ultra.

7 days to die is a 7 fps simulator though. 7 friends, bloodmoon 60 something, 5900x, 2080, 64GB ram and the game just denies to use more cpu to help the poor fps that was 13 fps lol

I am playing with my patatoe pc (notebook gfx3070, 32mb ram, 2tb ssd, some decent i7 cpu) and I have no sluttering, fps drop or anything and I am playing at very high settings. I think I am lucky. Playing on 1080 with DSSL on quality

It's a EA game,If you buy it you should be aware there is going to be issues plus 60fps is pretty decent if its stable not like you need 120 its not a fps game. And 7 days to die is a joke going to be in alpha forever.

sorry, but 60 fps is not decent. I do not run 180hz monitor just to have a game, that has no business running so poorly, run at 60-80fps.
With that said I am going to give them a chance to improve and will not refund

Game doesn't seem to have true fullscreen. It's just borderless window mode.
