Twig farm?

Has anyone found a decent way to gather a ton of twigs early game? Going for an archer build and constantly run out of arrows and gathering twigs takes forever

btw, i just cheated now twigs. its so annoying and the another classes dont have the problem. my friends are fine with that. go with ur character in singleplayer and use cheat engine to modify the amount.

Grow saplings and bushes at you're base then no need to hunt them all over the map.

Why twigs are super easy to gather... find a cave and just mine them! I get like 100 twigs in just a couple minutes. Lazy ass....

There seems to be a variation of twig structures in most regions. The animal dens people already mentioned, which are small stone caves with twig texture lining the interior. You can mine this out with a pickaxe. There are also twig houses and twig nests in subsequent areas that also provide a large concentration of twigs.

One place I farmed most of my arrow materials was from the teleport tower in the highlands area that is right next to a giant fossilized ribcage. Right at the base of the ribcage is a twig house, and running around the whole region are chicken like mobs that drop feathers.

Ah right seen them only looked like bones to me in the animal caves, I need to whack more things with the pick it seems.

i am in late game right now and have a large chest of unused twigs.
early game was the most difficult i found mining the nests the best
once you free farming planting is a option but it is a lot of planting and seeding, not sure if it saves time. but you can get a routine seeding planting harvesting repeat after each quest run.
mid game the vahn(big foot) make their tents out of twigs(basically twig balls)
later game flying creatures do the same.
remember to level your pick ax as this quickens your mining.
i am about 3/4 done with quests and just started last biome so not sure if there are any other for twigs.........but that AMBER sure is hard to find if your not looking right! amek sure you place flags down on map for important areas, i wish you could have a small texted added to these or just more options.

I spent numbers of hours, mainly a ranger, and I agree the ratios and systems around arrows is a bit too painful. Farming shrubs and or mining wolf dens are fine, but they should provide a lot more twigs, or they should drastically increase the twigs/arrows ratio. At least 5x. I have to mostly spend my play time farming twigs, to go on a 30min run. I'd say a system to recover arrows from the battlefield should be implemented, either by allowing players to loot a portion of the shot arrows (10%, 20%? Maybe as skill of the Survivalist tree?) from the body, or by allowing to collect the missed arrows from the ground like Minecraft. Anyway, the game is an absolute beast, I just hope they'd make our poor Ranger lives easier.

Ever since I went mage and wand i have literal stacks of twigs not doing anything but when i was an archer i run out of those stacks instantly most of the time.

I have fully completed the Farmer quests and I have fertile soil farm and it still takes too damn long to grow my own twigs so I am out destroying dens/nests all the time. They need a mass planting function (even if it is something where you have to wait for some time - it beats plant... take 2 steps... plant... take 2 steps... plant...) and a scythe tool for quickly harvesting. Like, just let me choose an X-by-X rectangle matching the spacing requirements for what I am planting and then give me a ghost image so I can plot it right, then make me hold E or wait for a timer for like 2 seconds per seedling until they are all planted...

the animal dens are full of twigs, if you've brought a pickaxe.

The tiny thin trees in Revelwood drop 4 twigs per tree, and take only 3 swings with an iron axe and the woodcutting perk. They're often grouped up so you can sometimes hit multiple at the same time. You'll get hundreds quickly

Wolf dens, boar dens, are made from twigs. Pickaxe them. As has been stated. When you can, make a field and grow bushes.

What are you doing? The twigs grow faster than any crop and you get a hundred seeds a pop. It is a twig factory. Do you really find the very short time it takes to plant stuff too long? Crikey man, I don't know what to say.
