Picking up the Flame...
I have started my first base at the original quest site and have leveled it up I think to 3. I want to move it or build it up higher than it currently is. I am afraid doing so will delete all progression and demo my build. Is there a safe way to do this?? Thanks

If you remove the torch the shroud will take over and destroy what is left behind.

I'm not in a shroud area. I'm in the starting plot and want to move. Theres an option to extinguish the flame but I fear that my building plot would be wrecked

Good question. Surely someone has moved a base before. My guess is you get your mats back, but the building will reset after the server/game is restarted. I've got a base I plan on moving, just haven't got to it yet. I just assumed that would happen, but it would be good to know.

I know that when I built a new one for the quest it was put down at lvl 1. So I assume if I destroy my high lvl flame it will go back to a lvl 1... But I don't want to go get the mats again to build it back up. For walls and floors I could ASSUME you just get back wood and not the wood blocks used to build.

If you extinguish your flame for whatever reason, everything inside goes bye bye. You keep your global flame level, but lose your build radius level. You can have multiple bases, for example 4 at level 3. Just build a new base. Pick everything up that is placeable, move to the new base, and keep moving things over as desired.
