Vulkan shaders
I'm on POP OS 22.04 LTS. nvidia-driver-545

Bought the game. Installed. Clicked play. Instant regret.
Waited 102 minutes for Vulcan shaders to be processed.
Game starts and immediately crash.
Validation of files starts. Waiting 5 minutes.
Clicked Play again. Processing Vulcan shaders. Starts over from 0%.

Validation of files starts. Waiting 5 more minutes.
Change to proton experimental.
Clicked Play. Processing Vulcan shaders starts over. From 0%.
Game starts and immediately crash.
Tried GE-Proton-8.5 and did the whole routine again.

Restarted Steam.
Tried Proton Experimental again.
Clicked Play. Processing Vulcan shaders starts over. From 0%.
Game started but used resolution from secondary monitor. 3/4 of main monitor used.
Flipped window mode back and forth three time. On third attempt window mode scaled correctly with window.
Warning message said GPU drives was outdated even though I am using nvidia-driver-545, the latest for my OS.
Ignored the warning and started playing.
Rough start. After spending hours I can at least start it.
Played for 30+ minutes. No Crash.

Hey,
I'm experiencing the same issues with Vulkan shaders and game crashes on Fedora 39, using an RTX 4070 with driver version 545.29.06. It's incredibly frustrating. The fact that even switching Proton versions didn't help is just plain bad. Hang in there. Let's hope and wait for the developers to address these issues in the future.
I just switched over to the most recent Ubuntu from OpensuseTumbleweed and I have been experiencing the issues of the vulkan shaders strait crashing my computer. I have a Ryzen 9 7950x and a Ventus 4070 (Driver: Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) 535.183.01) both of which are water cooled. With Opensuse I was at least able to just click skip if I was fast enough. Having just swapped over to Ubuntu I have less than half a second to try to hit skip before it ultimately crashes. I really don't want to swap over to Windows, especially with the latest nonsense they have shoved into version 11. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

R7 2700x 2080 ti watercooled and vulcan shaders took HOURS and still didn't get to play. Woke up and relaunched to get another update and processing shaders again.... I'm not waiting 5+ hours to play every time I click play man.
CP 2077 can process shaders in about 2 minutes so something is wrong...
