After latest update my game is stuck on installing 0%

its your hard drive. game is stored on a single 30gb file that steam needs to copy, update the copy, replace the old file with the copy, then delete the copy. the problem is exacerbated if you dont have enough space on the hardrive, as then steam need to make the copy on another hardrive first.

Having the same problem and it is Installed on a SSD dont want to redownload the game as i have slow internet

Interesting - I have since this patch (singleplayer) more fps than the last days. Game runs smoother.

I'm also having this issue, more than enough space available (350gb+) and on a Steamdeck OLED.. :/
Additionally: I am unable to download or update this game on my other devices.. hoping this is a temporary issue.

Having the same problem. This is the only game that does this. It was faster for me last time to uninstall and re-install the entire game than do a 1.7mb patch...

Just keep waiting and be patient.
I assume the progress percentage is updated only after installing/copying each file. And since Enshrouded consists mainly of one large file .. you will see no incements in the percentage, it will just jump from 0% to 100%. But copying that large file takes a bit of time ..

Im getting the "content file locked" error
nothing is helping - integrity check, deleting the folder, restarting the pc, clearing the catch ...
the only thing I can think of is booting in safe mode and then trying to delete it but ... well, I shouldnt have to car-jack my system just to fix an issue like this
