Progress not being saved for everyone on hosted server

My entire guild lost all of our 8+ hours of progress. Not only did the server not save but our char progress did not save either. I am surprised to not see people posting this here. We tried to get help on the discord but we were ignored.

We've tested whether or not the server is saving anything, and it is not. Game is literally unplayable for us.

Same here. However, only 2 out of 4 players experiencing this bug so far on my Nitrado server. The other 2 players are fine.

Yes, the same situation is for me and my friends. We spent half a day playing yesterday, and today we saw that progress remained at the level of yesterday morning.

It's kind of a big deal, I was going to buy the game, then I read this.
Is it an issue with multiplayer personal hosting AND dedicated servers then?
Luckly I wanted it to play with my friends and never solo...

I was playing the hole day yesterday, and experienced a bug where i couldn't interact with plants or cast spells, felt like a huge "Disconnect is about to happen", so i did an alt+F4, Expecting that the world saved at least every 5 min, but when i started the game up again.. i lost all progress that day... i had an alter tier 4 and it rolled it back to tier 2... i lost everything.. tilted me so much...
You need to fix this saving progress issue, really fast, or you will loose allot of players.

Sooooo about the bug....

After reinstalling the game and doing a integrity check/repair of the game in Steam, it seems at least for me, that I no longer experience the bug where my character resets! Seems like a great success, right?

Well, sadly enough, my nitrado server seems to have reset over night and now the entire server progress of the last 24h is pretty much lost...... so ♥♥♥♥ that xD

Before some smarta** comments, yes I have checked the backups, yes I have tested all the backups I have from the last 24h and there is not a single one that has actually saved our progress, yes a ticket at the hosting company is open.

Sooo Good luck everyone, would love to hear if a simple reinstall solves the problem for you as well!

I had a few minor rollbacks in local single player. I'm somewhat shocked there isn't a manual save function, the autosave is unreliable to say the least.

Nitrado Server: First Day it saved the Character Progress. Second Day (After the Hotfixes) the Characters are rolledback to the first day. We logged out, you see the new Armor on the Char in the Menu, logged back and the Char hed lumps, and all the first day stuff. The World appears ok, the map shows me, what i have seen, but the location-names, quests and NSC-Talk are resettet.
Is Early Access, ok, but with such an Bug (i think it is), we dont want to play. Even Worst: The quests are resettet, but the places are not ...
I would like to hear an official statement for this issue, but i didnt find any.

Yeah, this happened to me as well. I get that this is Early Access, but progression loss is a big deal. They need to figure this out pronto. I have no interest in playing until I can reliably expect my progression to actually be saved.

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I also encountered this issue. I played with friends all day on our server, but this morning, the progress rolled back to yesterday morning. So, I don't feel like playing today, having to go through everything again. This isn't just a major bug; it's a critical one for the game because it doesn't save game progress - and that's the core gameplay. We need to come up with something, like saving progress every 5-10 minutes or sending events to your backend server.

yes. this problem is only thing I am consider with waiting to buy this game, because I want to play co-op only and this rollback, not saving progress and only host getting progress, enjoys quests it's need to be fixed asap. I want to play it so much <3 it looks like perfect survival game but survial games are the best with co-op with friends.
