Spells require charges? AND MANA?!
Not a fan of spells requiring mana & charges. Remove the charges crap or make them craftable from the beginning of the game.

You can actually unlock infinite versions of certain spells if you play through the game's quests :)

As was said, you can find eternal spells but I actually enjoy the way it works. Needing charges and having a mana cost allows for the staff magic to actually be very powerful yet balanced. Your wand is more for average use. It uses no mana and barely uses durability as well.

Just use a wand and stop whining.

It seems no Devs can truly make a game with good magic. I`ve seen so many tries, but so many fails. Perhaps only Fable 1 had it good. And wand looks and feels so crap.

An infinite ranged item would be kind of OP. Makes sense how they do it. Just stand back and blast everything would be no challenge.

Surely that's an argument for spell charges OR mana. The complaint is having both.

Basically my wife wants to play a healer but guess what? After 11.5 hours we have come across 6 charges for the healing spell.

Her points into intellect and healing boost are sooo useful.

Two characters... 11.5 hours.
23 hour's total & 6 total charges.
Man...I hope that touches me real good for each of those charges.

If she goes down the healer line and uses sages armor she will be aoe healing passively for 60-70+hp a sec

Yup, already seen that and planned for it. Why do I have to wait when there should be a useful on use spell for such a task...

Something that is castable repeatedly when needed. From the start of the game or near to it. Ohh right. Need a Staff & mana...ohh also don't forget to enjoy your 1 charge to use roughly every four hours. Hope you don't need a heal more than that.

Lol. Fable 1 was ok.... but it's magic definitely wasn't the best.
Best are
Arx Fatalis (sigil drawing was cool)
Two worlds 2 (a card combining system where you could make any spell. Want to summon 800 anvils and swirl them around you in a tornado doing bludgeoning damage? Go for it. Wanna have a bouncing projectlie that summons a horde of zombies with one cast? Awesome.)
And then Kingoms of Amalur, with Morrowind and Daggerfall following behind.
Honorable mention to Inverbis virtus and then VR games Like the Wizards, Skyrim VR (with Mage VR mod) and the broken seal.

I'd rate enshrouded's magic at like 3/10 not the worst I've ever seen. But no where near the best. Fable as a series.... 4/10, fable 1 5/10. It was ok.

Chain heal is just made from amber i think. You can get it like 10 minutes in if you want. A lot of things are locked behind exploration. But if it's a big deal just google where to get the mats and go grab it. Chain heal is far better than channel heal since the little orbs don't have to chase you.

in one of the alchemist quest, for the one of his tool, you can find a chest with the recipe for the healing spell ^^. from memory it's in his old tower.

That does sound like a decent enough option. This game needs a better tutorial on game mechanics like this.

Actually Heal channel is just Wood Acid. Which is made in the kiln. So if you'd crafted it you'd have access to make the spell.
- 2x Aureolin Flower
- 5x Bonemeal
- 1x Wood Acid

So the healing IS right at the start of the game just grabbing the blacksmith, and alchemist, and crafting the things to unlock the recipe.
