Anyone else just getting poor performance in general?
My rig is a bit dated, i have a 1070ti but unless i drop the settings to the absolute lowest, i cant even manage a steady 60fps. I see the people have issues with above that point but id love to just have a steady 60 frames without the game looking like OSRS. I could understand if the visuals matched the performance but the game doesn't look that good to pushing my gpu so hard.

Using newer technologies does not guarantee than a game will look better. It depends on the artists and texture makers and level designers. 1070 is kind of an old GPU to be using for games these days. I am not surprised you can't get high FPS.

Yeah even rtx 4090 people are not getting the greatest fps, but if you lower some settings you can generally get decent Fps.

It could use some optimization so its not just you.

I have a 5800x3d and a 6900xt oc to 6950xt and for me to get around 100fps average or so I had to put my settings to the Balanced preset at 1440p then go back in and raise the upscale back up to quality.

This is the only game I have ever had to reduce the game down to a balanced or Medium / high setting in order to stay at 100 fps.

Maybe Ark survial ascended is the only other one but it is way worse optimized than this.

A 1070Ti is like a 10 year old card. I'm surprised this game even runs for you. I'm not having any performance issues at all and I'm running a 3070

Laptop here, 3080 with 16gb RAM and the game is running smooth, no stuttering or FPS drops. Granted, my CPU is holding steady at 95 degrees the entire time (with a chiller), highest of any game I play by 4-8+ degrees. There was an NVidia driver update for my GPU on the 24th, my guess is for Enshrouded. I have about half my settings on Quality (lighting/shadows/textures mostly), rest on Balance, DLSS on Balance.

During the Demo I had a Destop with a 1070 Ti and it held about low 40's FPS, then got a 3070 Ti from my buddy the last few days of the Demo and saw mid 50's to about 60 FPS. They've done a good amount of streamlining since the Demo, due to how many 4GB GPU's can even play the game at all now.

Also, it was a known problem with 10 series GPUs during the Demo, as well as all AMD. It's possible some of what WAS a problem, still is. Hard to say for sure though. Hopefully they get it all figured out and few people have issues because I want the game to succeed.

With a 3080 i can have most settings on max and get a steady 60FPS. Let us look back when some triple A games got launched and remember how bad the FPS was. Not to speak of alpha games ala ARK etc.
Graphic optimization tends to be something that gets done towards the end of programing. I am not a programer but i know of a few that have raised their voice, explaining why Graphic opting tends to be towards the end of development phase.

1440p - 13700k, 3080, 32gb of ddr5 @ 6000mhz and I get 90fps~100fps. I did put DLSS on performance and update to the latest nvidia drivers.

Camera is bugged and caps at 60fps, so it feels worse than it is. Once fixed it'll be alright. Game def needs some optimization though.

I agree my card is dated, looking to upgrade my cpu before i attempt my gpu but i can pretty much play any game no problem, keep in mind i play at 1080p still. The only game i struggled to run was starfield, but i can play all the latest games no problem, far cry 6 runs great high settings, battlefield 2042, the finals. There hasnt been a game i cant run which is why i havnt bothered to upgrade, but this game makes me feel like im using and iGPU lol

So, as we're finding more and more out, it does seem like at least some of the FPS issues is tied to the CPU as Voxel games are heavily CPU dependent. What CPU do you have? It's apprently more of an issue with Intel CPU's than AMD, something to do with the E Cores on Intel.

Ryzen 5 2600x though msi afterburner shows really low cup usage but 99% gpu usage.

nVidia RTX 3060, newest driver, dsll activated. The first day all was perfect, since yesterday evening 20-30 fps mostly. Must something happen in that time?

Its just poorly unoptimised at the moment.

I have a RX 6750 XT GPU, 5600X CPU & 16GB DDR4 3600Mhz RAM. at 1440p, 100% resolution scale, texture resolution on high and all other settings balanced I get around 60-70 FPS, I'm on the latest 24.1.1 display driver.

talking about 100 fps for single player game lol get a life man
The_Big_Imperial Jan 26, 2024 @ 6:01am
I can keep a steady 60fps (1080/1440p) but after 5 or 10 minutes it'll start tank and bounce around 40-55fps. Resetting the resolution seems to help, but i have to keep switching the res or fullscreen/window modes to getting it back up to 60fps. (I'm on a laptop wired to a big screen, so i keep games locked @ 60fps on average.)

60-70 FPS at 1440p is pretty normal.
