Update/Patch 30 Gig's Every Session
Hello,

It seems every time I open Steam to play Enshrouded I get hit with a really slow update. Even if I just log off to go walk the dog or eat I have to re update/patch.

Side note Dev's, its not too important but would be really nice if we can place things diagonally to make rounded structures.

Best,
Redo

It is not 30gb updates.... Thats just your GAME files being checked and updated. The last download was around 280kb'ish...

Over the years is has become apparent that people fail to realise it's the way STEAM handles updates/downloads. Devs have NOTHING to do with the issue.

?
You have over 200 Games and you should know that most other games update with a single step.

Enshrouded does not do that, its updating the game as one not single files like other games.

DEVS have something to do with it because they made the game engine , and maybe thatswhy the game handles updates that way, because DEVS dont know how to update their enginge in single files.

Steam have nothing to do with it,the devs rolls out the code to update their game, steam is just transporting it to your computer.

They need to do incremental updates. There is zero reason to check/validate the entire game.

Completely agree. Since steam took out the ability to pause updates and still play (no clue why they did that) its better to do incremental patching or if they are going to use this ancient patching methodology then do it once a week or more.
