Thank you!
On a side note, I would think she needs a special pot to pop it in, or some cooking oil, or maybe even water could work to pop the kernels in a pinch. In fact, the drying rack would be great too.
The farmer's daughter should ask to first dry the corn in the hunter's drying rack. Then there should either be a recipe for the blacksmith to make the pot, or a quest to find her special pot. Then we interact with the fireplace to cook/pop the corn.
Yes, the one she needs actually looks like the picture under her requirements. You'll need to quest for it.
the fireplace is not the one you can build early. it's a specific one you get from doing her quest. honestly dev shouldve change the name to something different, as it also confuse me at first.
but you need food when you go out. the fireplace should be an upgrade to cooking, not a downgrade.

The fireplace quest popped up after I had turned in The Alchemist's Mortar quest. I noticed some of the NPCs finally had quests for me after I had placed the mortar and crafted 1ea of Bug Dust, Glow Dust and Goo. I was waiting for the fireplace quest specifically.
There were a couple other first crafts that I made during that session with the Alchemist, but I feel like the quest was linked to the mortar quest hand in, or the crafting of items that make use of it.
