Farmer's Fireplace?
Anyone know where to find the farmer's fireplace she cooks at?? Is it locked behind a mission, quest line? Thanks in advance!

Yeah it's a bit odd but you notice she needs a fireplace a lot earlier than you'll actually get it. She didn't have the quest to go get her fireplace until I got the forge for the blacksmith. Just keep following the NPC quests and it'll show up.

Some npc's needs other npc for some of the quests, just keep doing their quests and rescue them all, I got a few new fireplaces after mining some clay and building the kiln for the carpenter.

Yep sorted it out, you need to do the carpenters quest line too but MAN is it a pain to get the pot she needs after to make the whole fire. Ty guys.

I have all the NPCs except the Carpenter. She says she need corn, honey, to be sheltered and she needs a fireplace. I built the fireplace right next to her, but it still has a red x thru 'fireplace.' Does she need a certain special type of fireplace? If that's so, then she needs to specify that.

On a side note, I would think she needs a special pot to pop it in, or some cooking oil, or maybe even water could work to pop the kernels in a pinch. In fact, the drying rack would be great too.

The farmer's daughter should ask to first dry the corn in the hunter's drying rack. Then there should either be a recipe for the blacksmith to make the pot, or a quest to find her special pot. Then we interact with the fireplace to cook/pop the corn.

Yes, the one she needs actually looks like the picture under her requirements. You'll need to quest for it.

Smells like adventure.

whats funny/stupid is that the fireplace is garbage for cooking. the only need is so she can make new things. seriously why does it take THREE. MINS. to cook something that only take ~5 secs when using a campfire??

because you can just put them there and leave adventuring. and went back with it full of cooked meat. it's not really meant for you to cook something quickly on the spot.

the fireplace is not the one you can build early. it's a specific one you get from doing her quest. honestly dev shouldve change the name to something different, as it also confuse me at first.

but you need food when you go out. the fireplace should be an upgrade to cooking, not a downgrade.

it's about preparing for future adventure. the idea is that it's a time saver so you can just get cooked meat overtime without having to cook more manually in the future ever again. Like if you just need 3-4 for the adventure, just cook it manually. but if you got x2 20 stacks, you can just plop them down there and leave for adventure. come back with 2 stack of cooked meat for the next one. repeat.

If this helps:
The fireplace quest popped up after I had turned in The Alchemist's Mortar quest. I noticed some of the NPCs finally had quests for me after I had placed the mortar and crafted 1ea of Bug Dust, Glow Dust and Goo. I was waiting for the fireplace quest specifically.

There were a couple other first crafts that I made during that session with the Alchemist, but I feel like the quest was linked to the mortar quest hand in, or the crafting of items that make use of it.
