The blacksmith needs a shop

im on the quest on the part "Use the construction hammer" which i have used, alot, to build a base to live in, and the quest still wont complete, why is it broken

Had the same problem. Move the blacksmith right next to the forge after you build it. That completed the quest immediately for me.

Will it make him stoically quiet, because the guy never shuts up with his little chat bubble. Also he's kind of a jerk telling me what to do while he sits on his buns doing nothing, go clear the damned elixir well yourself if you want it done so damned fast!

I tried re-placing the blacksmith next to the forge but this didn't work. Am I stuck with this quest forever?

Did you place the blacksmith inside the shelter, with floor, walls and roof???

He cant be outside.

I put him in shelter and this resolved the issue, I wish the game said this.

the weird thing is: he doesn't need or use the forge, its just an oven to bake some metal plates for you.

The blacksmith says he can't work outside and that he needs to be sheltered - every time you approach him while he's outside
