Problem with light / shadows on AMD card (RX 7900XT)

I have a graphics problem on the RX 7900XT. My image is very bright, there are practically no dark or shadowy places. There is no fog, smoke, shadows, firelight - everything is uniformly bright. On the second PC with RTX3070, the game looks normal and beautiful. I checked the settings, the graphics card driver is new. What could be the reason? Has anyone solved this, because I see that the problem is common?

7900xtx and current drivers got same problem ,the old version 23.X.X drivers were crashing on startup , the 24.1.1 current one is wierd its maxing out power use but doesnt seem to be doing any shadows/lighting or other affects

its clearly not hitting all amd but it does sound like its mostly a 7 series driver issue, but some 7 series are also performing fine.

oh im also getting what feels like 20 fps but its claiming 90

7900xtx here, have the same issue. Also have another issue where game is black but I can still see the UI. If I turn on FSR2.0 that problem goes away. Also i'm on the latest 24.1.1 drivers and i'm not running any overclocks.

Have no issue in other games.

everything on ultra and the caves and inside is completly bright i dont need torches or anything ? wtf

I watched some videos and youtubers playing the game and I liked it a lot, it looks my type of a game but I am concerned about the performance part, I have rx 7800xt and ryzen 7 7800x3d and I am still searching for a gameplay video from someone who has the same specs to see how it's performing

7900 xtx here and having the exact same issue, underwhelming lighting with everything maxed, no lighting in caves etc but otherwise performance hovers around 144 fps.

I have the same issue, everything is very bright. 7900 XTX with latest 24.1.1 drivers :/

I want to chime in and say I have the same issue. I know it's not meant to be like this as the first time I booted the game, there were shadows indoors. Then for some reason, all indoor shadows stopped.

I'm playing co-op and asked my friend to screen cap his game in the same location as I (starting area) and it was quite evident something is wrong with the shadows on my version.

No setting alterations seem to have an effect on this.

So, reverting to driver 23.12.1 seems to solve the issue, now dark areas are actually dark...

No need to revert. Got it fixed by opening amd adrenalin an override the application settings for anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

doesnt work for me still full lighted caves and no shadows

Unfortunatelly it appeared again... Only way seems to downgrade the driver

Try doing a "clean" install of your drivers. Sometimes updating drivers can have issues unless you do a totally clean install of a new driver.
