So I rented a server and gave it a name. But I cant find it in the server browser; do anyone got some more insight how I could find it/join it?

I thought if i take the recommended server frome the game ui itself it should work flawless; mayber selfhosting would have been the wiser choice.

Anyway; I would be thankful for any tipps!

copy server ip (not the ftp one), add the port behind it with ":", e.g. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx
Then open STeam, go to view at the op, select Game Server to open the server browser (this is outside the game!). Then go to the favorites tab and press the "+" at the bottom. Insert you ip:port and add it. it should come up in the server list now, if its running. Then start the game, go to join a server and your server will at the top of the list.

Awesome tip. However, even Steam says "did not find any servers at that address" -- g-portal flop again

I had that problem, I restarted the server, gave it a few mins and it was visible. Maybe a patch waiting to be applied?

You should be able to find it quickly, because there are few servers. This is the case because the game is ridiculously demanding on server CPU power. I doubt that G-Portal could even reasonably afford to host it without sacrificing quality given how demanding it is - it doesn't even run properly on Epyc processors (runs fine on my Ryzen 7700 server but uses 4 cores at and often far above 50%).

You need to look under the access part of the g-portal status page for your server.
You need the IP and query port to look up through steam.
If your server cannot be found then
Verify your server files on g-portal and restart the server.
Wait a couple minutes.
If you can view your server on steam then try to look it up in-game search
Using your servers actual name

If someone cannot connect (see) their server on G-Portal in the game, then here are short instructions:
1. open your server on G-Portal - File Manager
2. open file enshrouded_server.json and look to queryPort (in my case that 28215)
3. open Steam - View - Game Servers - Favorites and click to symbol "+"
4. Fill server IP (in file enshrouded_server.json that "ip") and port from "queryPor" (format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyyy, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is IP and yyyyy is port)

@Saikel i tyed like u texted but there comes the Message that that Server cannot found the Server is running but cant find it

I see this server without issues. when you adding server search it like - 144.76.19.114:28215
I see - Name Germanen, players 0/8
