The inputs on the buttons are wrong. Triangle is should be loot but is attack. Square is the opposite. circle is should be "back out of options" but is to select options. cross is the opposite. hopefully it gets fixed considering the game just released in early access today.

Same issue the controls for PS5 controller are so ♥♥♥♥ up is unplayable they seriously need to fix this ♥♥♥♥, is the reason why I bought the game to play it with my PS5 controller

I found a fix that worked for me...give it a try and reply to this post, fix below:
1. Enable Steam Controller overlay...(yes I'm aware this may cause double button actions)
2. Utilize the recommended Enshrouded controller layout
3. Boot the game from Steam Big Picture Mode
4. Enjoy!
I've been playing for about 30 minutes with this set up and all the controls are working as intended, X = X & O = O & the L2 trigger now functions properly while aiming a bow.
