It was stable for my friend and I as well and no major bug yet, so far so good.
so all the way back at base wondering what i did wrong,
did i miss the breadcrumb for the side quest i needed to do to level?
is it a stealth only section and i was meant to just creep past them?
should i have wandered around levelled and geared up int he open world first?
is this a co op only game?
can i be arsed to walk back and take another guess for most likely a second arbitrary death.
unfortunately only that last one i can answer. gonna sleep on it and watch some vids but this is feeling like a refund for me.
I saw a backstab attack in the skill tree, so I guess that´s what we need for it to work.
I´d say it´s likely a matter of refining the tutorial prompts.
First impressions ...
Debating with myself if I want to keep it.
At a bit under two hours I´ve only scratched the surface.
It seems well made, mostly meeting my expectations.
I feel this would have been a hit, if games like Valheim wouldn´t already exist.
I know from videos Enshrouded brings it´s own set of features to the table, but not much of that is very visible yet.
And even if noone wants to hear it, having my attention on that other recent game right now likely doesn´t help.
So basicly it looks a worthy game, that is likely to open up with more time invested, but I am not sure if I have a spot for it right now.
As I am typing ... I think I will, but let´s sleep on it. ;)
Question for the Devs, in case they stop by:
What´s the point of that quick-select radial menu?
I changed the controls to simply use RB to switch between the two bars. Having to use RB+Stick-Press (because RB is wasted on the radial menu) felt very clunky.
Also, since you already feature multiple controller layouts, I suggest adding a preset that resembles games like Assassin´s Creed or Dark Souls ... with the Attack on RB/RT.
That said, I thought the general set of options and features already looked very solid.
Gameplay: I megalike the game as is
Anybody did? Do you need go go stealthy? Or kill it?
I dont wanna be one shotted and have to go back again to probably die xd
I died a lot in my first few hours. And before anyone tells me that i am bad at combat, I will admit that I am.
Things got better when I took a little time and crafted all three pieces of Rag armor, a club and a shield. Blocking/parrying (I am awful at parrying) helped me through the first fw quests. Just cleared the first enshrouded area. Was not expecting that Boss. Yikes
