How Does Multiplayer work

please refer to title, is it like people running around on same server, MHW or is it mainly single player with the option of partying up with friends.

I kind if like having people around although i do play fairly solo a lot of the time.

You can play single player from what I'm reading. If you want to run a dedicated server and play with friends, use SteamCMD to log in Anonymously and download server files. You can host your own server on your own machine or secondary.

Is there not a server list whereby you can just jump on a server with others and crack on...?

There 100% is. Loads of servers are up too, but there is no chat from what I've seen? So communication is kind of dead unless you're in VC.

SteamCMD is all I can help with as I don't own the game I couldn't tell you what is inside the options menu.

Beware, quests are completed for everyone on the server regardless of participation.
