I see its basically getting review bombed by a bunch of people with like 20 minutes on it because of server issues. I dont care about that as i plan on running my own on my home server anyway.

So is the game itself actually good or not? Can people just be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ normal for once?

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your opinions and staying civil! I ended up pulling the trigger and got it, so once I get it installed and get some hours in Ill post my thoughts. Lets keep this thread alive though for others that may be on the fence or curious.

Just have to wait and see. Same thing happened to Valheim at release, it had mixed reviews for about the first day then it jumped quickly to overwhelmingly positive. If you're on the fence and waiting for actual reviews, wait a few days until you start seeing reviews from people with at least over 20 hours of game time.

Till now i like it. Valheim never got me hooked, this one definately does. Im only 1 hour in tho.
The optimation isnt very good. System is running pretty hot (which it does in no other game).
Overall the game and especially the building seems like fun.

One of the most level-headed replies I've seen on Steam in a long time.

Check out some streamers playing the game,see some early access reviews and decide for yourself.

As for me,I am going to wait a couple of days.

Valheim hooked me straight away, this one? Not quite, right now at least.

I am enjoying the combat so far more than Valheim.
Building is kinda, eh.

Loving it so far, but may have to start over after an hour of gameplay since it crashed and now crashes on loading the savegame. Ah well, playing pure single player btw.
About to install the latest Nvidia drivers now though (for some reason the download of the driver is early 2000's slow atm) and hoping I get back into it soon. Otherwise I will just start fresh again, it's just an hour lost anyway and besides... it is EA so crashes and bugs are to be expected especially on launch day. :D

People want spoon fed instantly these days. Review bombing on day 1 with server issues is childish imo. A good chunk probably trying to run it on dogwater PCs complaining about their own issues.

You could just read the reviews where people post their specs. Then you wouldn't have to make comments that are so easily proven wrong.

I feel like games likes these the optimization is always sketch at best, so that feels like something to just expect going in honestly. So thats less of an "issue" for me.

There are some issues with multiplayer. Play singleplayer until it gets patched.

Ok so sounds like the game itself is pretty decent. Ill probably give it a day or so and see how it turns out, but i liked what i saw during the nextfest demo.
