NPCS management
So I saw we have to place them and stuff, is there any actual management of them? IE GO get food, stone, wood, etc?

Or is it you plafce them in a room and then you just get perks?

In the demo you needed to build a room which met their requierements. After this you didn't need to manage anything. They don't craft anything for you. You do it yourself.

They act as a tech stage unlock, allowing you to progress to the next step of crafting. The blacksmith teaches you how to make a forge and use coal and metals and unlocks armors and your grapple and other metalworks and weapons. You can't build all those without him. As far as housing them their needs are like Terraria.

Would be cool if they added some kind of management like that during Early Access, but I believe there was nothing like that in the demo back then. You should give them that feedback after EA release. Npcs running around and doing things would add life to the world.

I just found out about this btw: https://enshrouded.featureupvote.com/

They're currently putting together a roadmap for EA as well and want to know what people are interested in.

There's no water :O

It's a voxel based game so it seems pretty hard to implement. Maybe they'll consider it as it's one of the most upvoted features. ^^

Btw. I added NPC management as a suggestion, but it has to be approved first.

Not the same engine and also that doesn't change anything about it being hard to implement. Do you think the Valheim devs had a super easy time with it? I never said it is impossible or anything.

@vis I can assure you that water is easy to develop, requires little to no work at all, and is literally dropped in place LOL You dont know anything about game dev do you? Dev's dont script anymore, Engines are mostly plug and play. Educate yourself.

In a fully voxel based game on an engine specifically made for this game? Any proof of that my guy? Lmao.

What about player and npc interactions with water on top of that? Are you sure you have any idea about the thing you're talking about?

New World has an insane budget and you still cant swim in it. Its been like 2 years and you still just walk on the bottom of bodies of water.
I guess its not so easy to get water to fit in every game.

would be nice if we actually had to manage npcs.
Seeing a bunch people standing around is little bit boring. They should add life to the game instead.

Conan and more recently palworld seem to have a good npc system, using them to fight, craft, gather.
