I really wanted to see EQNext. It's too bad they never really expanded beyond EQ2.

Even tho I know what this means, it is just sounds funny.... "next yesterday" to someone if they didn't realize that the name of that game was "Everquest Next".

I remember camping Ass / Sup in the frog area in original EQ. Ugh spawn camping... For the life of me I can't remember the region map area - Lower Guk maybe?

They needed to give Druids a little more love in that game... good at a lot of stuff but not min/max at anything. Now get an enchanter in group with ya and you'd be golden. Gimme some of that Alacrity bruh!

It's definitely what EQ Landmark should have became, with smaller servers, etc.

But EQ Next was going to be EverQuest 3. A persistent MMO World, not a smaller server with a handful of players building. Sadly, it was made pretty clear to technical testers that the technology wasn't going to scale to EQ Next's aspirations, which feels like the reason everything was scuttled after the buyout.
