How do I move objects, furniture, doors, etc. ?

Maybe I'm dense (I probably am) but I can't figure out how to move constructed furniture or decorations\illumination. Is this possible? I'm able to deconstruct things that were built with the construction hammer, but things like my candles and building scaffolding I can't figure out how to move or deconstruct them.

Currently the only way to move them around is by picking up into your backpack by holding down the E key, unless you have a different key bind. Then you have to place the item down again.

I would like to see a move object feature implemented versus picking it up into the backpack.

Holding down the E key doesn't seem to do anything for me. I put down some storage boxes, but now that I've built a floor, I'd like to pick those up and move them onto my floor instead of sitting on the grass. I press and hold E when looking at the tiny storage, but nothing happens. I have plenty of room in my inventory. What gives?

Okay odd. I whacked the storage once with an axe, and then I was given the option to hold E to pick up. Weird, but it works I guess.

You must also be very close, too far you see only one E. No option to move.
