Shader compilation stuck at 289.

I've been trying to play for three days, but when I get to "shader compilation 289" it just stops there.

Through the task manager I see that the game continues to consume memory, CPU and GPU. But it still gets stuck in that, I can leave it for hours, and it doesn't come out of it.

Mine is also stuck on 289, my specs are: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor 3.40 GHz; Motherboard:MSI B560M PRO-VDH WIFI; GPU: Gigabyte RX6600XT Eagle 8GB

Had this same issue with a Radeon gpu.
Someone on discord recommended updating AMD drivers and it worked just fine for me, finally got the game running.
I assumed my drivers were up to date but it looks like AMD put out an update about a week ago.

10 Oct 2023 *I reinstalled AMD software & updated drivers, game is running now*

I had the same problem 289 but I solved it simply by updating the video card drivers

Make sure you're updating your graphics card through the AMD application and not the device manager like I was. Fixed the problem for me.
