Motion sickness
Unfortunately the demo currently triggers my motion sickness quite a lot. FoV slider didn't do much to make it better.

There are especially a lot of small camera movements included which are triggering motion sickness a lot, e.g. pressing tab to target an enemy or switching to the building mode. Or the screen shaking when using the axe to chop some wood.

I hope this will be worked on because currently I can't play the game.

Thank you for the feedback! We definitely don't want to make our players sick or uncomfortable.

Do you have any more specific movements or features you can point to that felt particularly bad? I'd love to forward some feedback to the team on what kind of things we could adjust, or perhaps some toggle settings we could add to help disable those features for players who have issues.

Thanks for your feedback, its good to hear that you take this issue so serious!

Unfortunately, I have uninstalled the demo in the mean time and don't want to try it again because once triggered my motion sickness lasts for a few hours.

But generally speaking the main problem for me and a lot of others who have the same issue is unwanted head movements/bobbing. As far as I have seen you have none of this directly in the game (e.g. moving the camera a bit when walking/running) but have a lot of cases where the camera moves unexpectedly, .e.g pressing TAB to target an enemy or after switching to the building mode. Those camera movements are MASSIVE triggers for motion sickness because my eyes tell me "we are moving" but my vestibular organ does not concur.

Other triggers are motion blur (don't know if they are included, but there was no setting to deactivate them) and wrong field of view, but as I said, changing the FoV ingame didn't help much.

Thank you! I will forward this to the team and see what we can do. We likely won't be able to take a look at this by our next demo version on Oct 9th due to time constraints, but I'll definitely make sure they look into it before our early access release later in the year ❤️. We don't want our game to make players sick if we can help it ;)

I was playing with my bf and he had a bad motion sickness from the game too, then have headaches after ><'
shoot i have the demo as well, if it triggers motion sickness im probably gonna have to wait. Can you not turn motion blur off?

I dont get motion sick but this demo does make me a little light headed and queezy

Gah, huge red flag. I get motion sickness in some games too.

Need to ensure there are features like disabling head bob, chromatic aberration, along with any other jerky/shaky camera movements. Also needs to be an fov slider.

Good to see devs are listening. This game looks too good to go past.

there is no such setting in the current demo.

I get motion sickness from fps games but not Enshrouded. However, I cut down the mouse sensitivity to 1.02, and camera bob to 1.05. So far so good. In other games I eliminate motion blur and the camera shake and this takes care of 99% of my motion sickness issues. Not sure if Enshrouded has these.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! If you do check out the demo and find any specific features that feel problematic for you, please let us know and we'll look into it! Most members of our development team don't have issues with motion sickness, so any advice from players who do is very helpful feedback for us ❤️

I really didn't get it from playing but I do not like the camera moving when I'm looking at my inventory or in a menu.

It's true, your head does move about when you run etc, but our bodies compensate for it and for the most part we're able to keep our field of Vision focused and stabilized during rigorous activities. It's fine if this were used to simulate status effects that may throw off our balance, etc, but as a feature it seems to cause issues for a fair bit of players if it's too excessive.

It's awesome to see them take your comments and add a remove screen shake option in settings. Good job devs

For what it's worth, I had a concussion in 2021 or 2022 and after that I've started getting motion sickenss from some games. Enshrouded triggers it quite badly. I can't find the motion blur setting as of today, not sure if there is one. I am tinkering with other settings to try to solve it as much as possible. Not sure what the optimal FOV setting is. Anyone have advice?
