Maybe i should add " will it be optimized for solo play ? " because a lot of survival games claim that, and then you cant actually do a lot of the stuff like bosses etc , and then the grind becomes impossible for things like materials etc. If it takes 16 people a month to make a castle, will i be able to make a castle solo in the same time ?
In most of those games, you can select world settings before playing and reduce the amount of grinding.
The main 4 settings for single player that it would need are:
1. XP gain rate (to speed up leveling)
2. Resource drop multiplier (to reduce grind)
3. Carry capacity multiplier (so you can carry more resources around)
4. Enemy strength/scaling (makes it balanced for solo players to kill mobs and bosses)
It really is far more fun that way over just solo offline.
Only if you cant transfer the same chars from a world to another
I agree with the OP. In most games, I find I'm more effective when playing alone. When I die in Valheim, it's always when trying to rescue team mates or following their daft plans. I don't mind if solo is more difficult, so long as it's playable.
I have ZERO friends.
can I still play this solo?
Depends how you play, I would love to play with friends, but my friends dont game, at least not the same types of games I do at teh same times. I wake up at 3am every day play for a few hours and go to work. Dont play in the evenings etc , thats time with the wife. So Im hoping this is solo friendly cause looks solid.
Difficulty scales up with player count, so the game can be played solo. Of course, having a party to support you with spells and heals would make it easier, but if for any reason whatsoever you're on your own, then yes, you can take on the world of Enshrouded solo.
