It's pretty fun, I played it a fair bit back when it first came out, before it went free to play. I think the GUI definitely is the worst part of the game, very much shows the fact that NetEase is a mobile games focused company. The gameplay and art direction are great though, balance feels fantastic even after years of updates, and they still seem to be regularly supporting Naraka. I think the players are much more centered in Asia than anywhere else, so depending on the region, people may find it hard to find matches or have good stable connection. Overall though, It's actually really good, I think mainly the fact that it's a melee focused battle royale where many others are more ranged that drives people to it. Also helps that the game is very flashy and has lots of crossovers in recent years. They did a great job making it almost a spectacle fighter visually.

It's not bad fundamentally, it has non-stressful daily activities and nice F2P rewards, as well as VERY SALTY gameplay. It's like fighting game + soulslike. Plus ping differences, plus skill differences and variety of weapons and abilities. And then you're either at the peak of how great the game was, or... Anyway. Sometimes suffering is good. But the game can provide SUFFERING in excess.
It's better to get into it with intelligence and guides. On your own, you may have some difficulties.

its becuase its a very big game in Asia. China mainly. however as a NA player i have fun playing the game
