Why did it go Free?

Because no one outside of China is playing it. During 'Asia' hours the games population explodes to well over 100,000 players. It then drops off a cliff to less than 10,000. There is a specific part of the world that plays it and the devs haven't addressed why this is.

I love the game I genuinely feel this game would've been in a much better spot here in the west if it released ftp; Especially 2 years ago during the whole covid stuff

You get some exclusive costume for Viper Ning, a banner and a player icon. You also get some in-game gold depending on what package you purchased originally.
