its a windows 11 feature that was added. its optional disable it while playing re enable it when done, most any game with anti cheat and some virus scanners do not work with it enabled. The game has been up for over 2 years and no issues.
This shouldn't even be a discussion. Why ask me to disable a NEW security feature instead of patching it??
Because they want your data. Selling data is nowadays a new businessmodel.
go install valorant or mcafee or use some old hardware that you need and doesn't work with KMCI enabled.
It's not just this game it's just the first time you had an app wanting to turn off a Microsoft feature for business.
Because Microsoft doesnt allow third party anti cheat driver to be signed in such a way that it can run with HVCI-KMCI enabled and read the physical memory addresses and not the virtual memory that is shown to the os.
The correct thing should be to get it signed as fast as possible, shouldn't it be??? If their anti-cheat is any good that should not be a problem. An anti-cheat that bypasses security features is _sus_ AF.
Since you seem to not really understand this, Microsoft will not sign any third party anti cheat to run with permissions to read the actual physical memory layout of a pc running HVCI-KMCI enabled, no driver will ever get that access as it is reserved for Microsoft Only.
League of Legends does NOT use vanguard actually LOL doesn't use any form of anti cheat the game itself is encrypted end to end , over the years they have made it really really hard for cheaters botters and so forth in LOL. This is from a bit ago but still holds true as LOL still does NOT use vanguard.

Once again educate yourself.
Steam does NOT need to delist anything.
With Vanguard if your PC has TMP 2.0 it will run with VBS due to the fact the anti cheat will work with your TMP 2.0 chip and secure boot so it doesn't actually need it to be disabled that is how they get around it which is still pretty invasive.
No idea what Vanguard is. I don't care about League of Legends or Valorant in any case. You're telling multiple people to educate themselves when you're the one in the wrong here. You need to get rid of that KMCI stuff so people are more willing to play your dead game.
Edit: Also i'm pretty sure Microsoft recommends turning it of for gamers. its mostly for people with actual stuff to loose, not us normies. And DELL says its mostly used against zero day hacks that can't/hasn't be patched normally.
