This game is dead
Re-installed after being away for about a year. No one playing ranked, casual or anything else. Haven't been able to get into any matches at all. Only maybe half a dozen rooms at any given time.

EDit: Since most of you responding don't bother to read the whole thread, or can't comprehend what I write.
I'm ok with game now. Just stop with the negative commentary already.
I'm moving on, you should too. Un-subbed this topic, so any of you toxic readers can argue with yourselves, LOL

I'm not Chinese. For any other country, especially the U.S., this game is dead, dead..... DEAD.

I get queues in 1-5 minutes, almost never longer than that on eu server

I agree
It's definitely not dead.

well, I've never played before. When I open the game and try to start nothing happens. It just stays on the tap to start even after choosing NA and agreeing to user agreements
After i reached solar rank , its quite hard or even impossible to find ranked solo matches or is it just me? Waiting 20+ minutes and nothing.... Playing in eu. I hope this will change. Really liking the game.
Queues shouldn't be long anymore. I think they have fixed this so bots fill lobbies. Queues at most for me are around the 3 minute mark. Active times are usually on weekends at night, so it depends on when you're playing. Before the ping nerf it would take 15-20 minutes some days to get a match (about a year ago when I last played)

I've seen most people from 8pm-3amish EST on weekends, on week days it's a gamble. The game just doesn't have as much Chinese players filling up the servers since they nerfed the ping so what's left is new NA players, a lot of Xbox players, or older players who have been playing consistently for awhile or on and off.
Empyrean+ lobbies are full of people lol

Using basic gamer logic on par with your assessment that this game is dead-- bots are always "easy" and "boring".... so you should have zero problem ranking up to the point where you are in lobbies full of players in no time. ;)
@Verax. I'm not a noob to the game. I'm in Silver ranked. I mentioned nothigng about bots in my original post.
Seems the lobbies must have been dead for something like 24 hours, but yesterday and the day before, I got into quite a few matches.
I also looked at the Steam Charts for the game and it's showing between 100,000 and 135,000 players in any given 24 hour period.
@Big Bad Nonja - no offense, but claiming 'I'm not a noob' while being in Silver rank after 250 hours seems contradictory. The game has struggled to retain players in Western countries for various cultural reasons, which is why even your so-called 'high-skilled silver elo' lacks enough players.

That said, 150k players outside China is still a significant number. For comparison, Dead by Daylight peaks at around 40k players - including Chinese players this time - and they don’t have issues with player retention. Maybe the issue isn’t the player base but rather whether you’re willing to climb to the elo where the more dedicated players are. If not, perhaps this just isn’t the right game for you.

can't compare this game to dead by daylight though... both are different genres, not just that but the lobbies on that game is way more smaller.

@big Big Nonja - I've also been getting into matches on Naraka pretty easy playing quick mode, it takes me 1 minute or even less and returned last week. Higher ranks in rank mode is full of players.

It's not 150k players outside China - it's 150k players including China.
The game might not be dead, but it's far from its peak. Ranked modes are filled with bots, even if you're high-ranked (like Unrivaled). Whether you wait 1, 5, or 30 minutes, over half your lobby will still be bots. This is easily proven by how Immortal Wars (the ranked mode featuring 12 players in solos and 48 in trios, which is strictly more competitive and used in all tournaments) dies out after a week due to a lack of players.

And that’s not even mentioning other modes, like Bloodbath (the game’s deathmatch mode), where most of the time, you’re the only real player.

I’d also like to remind you that they shut down a mode some of you might not even know existed - Bloodsport. Why? Because it couldn’t fill a 16-player lobby, since this mode had no bots.

So please, let’s not pretend - you might love this game, but it’s clearly struggling in the West.
