20 USD for a free game

20 dollars at starting price, 15$ for a battlepass that doesnt give you enough back to rebuy it, every decent skin is priced above 10$ and can't be earned, other skins are lootbox only and according to the released odds you'd have to realistically, open 20 boxes to even hit Epic tier, legendary has a drop rate of 0.3%. less than 1 out of a 100 lootboxes.

Must be really lacking on the latter end if $20 is what makes or breaks the bank. Also indie games don't have to bring the same perceived quality or value nor should they be expected to. That's the real issue with the game industry is too many people expect smaller devs to operate at a loss for 6 months before they make their money back. That's not to say I'm happy with the cost of things in NB but its passable enough by the standards of other foreign games I've played that it's a non-issue. You claim the game is wasting your time but here you are complaining about things that in the end might take the avg worker literally an hour to afford. 1st world problems my dude.

and to get to your second point, here's how you fix it.
make BP give you 1900 gold, so you can buy the pass again and get an extra amount like cod warzone and fortnite do.
take out the lootboxes. they're illegal in most european countries now. they're gonna be illegal in the US soon. there's a reason they've been in games a lot less. this is dated.
and make the starting price of gold skins above 6$ but below 13$

and yes, i can hold this game up to tripple A BR standards in how it charges me money mate. if i was making fun of the graphics or gameplay you'd have a point, i'm not. no one deserves to charge others money like this.

just let the "whale" that want to look cool to fund the developer/server cost, while most of us just enjoy playing the game, a live service game still need some kind of income to maintain they rate of development and maintenance of server

if im not wrong the battle pass cost 1360 gold, while it gives back around 1200 gold so you need to spend around 1$ to buy the next battle pass

DMC5 and RE2remake are not live service game, after they are done with the development then they are done and move on to the next project hence why they are 1 time payment only, you do not need to pay like server cost or developer salary anymore

yea, i wouldn't have mind if the game was free to play. i'd would have even bought the battle pass if it was. too bad, it looked like a good game. so i spent the $20 on fallout 4 instead and modded it.

I get that different people at different points in life perceive money differently. I used to hop from free MMORPG to another, spend 20 hours doing survey for 5 bucks to spend on the cash shop and play free Big Fish game sent to my email growing up.

But if you aren't interested in the experience enough to spend 20 bucks on this game why waste your time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the middle of the party ? And many people have expressed that they don't care about all the cosmestic bells and whistles. It's not healthy to hope other people's experience suffer because you don't agree with how they use 20 dollars.

i like the logic of not spending an extra 30$ on cosmetics being insane means i don't make money. i have enough income to afford every game worth my time and money. this isn't one of them, it asks for too much.

after you buy the game for 20$ you can play everything in it, every mode,glyph,hero.. no content are paywalled behind some VIP/premium subscription
