Well i don't know so well other pvp melee games. Maybee there is any Chivalry 2 or Dark souls players, they can say more.

Your entire Player A vs Player B scenario is in every fighting game ever. Even something like smash bros. It's called a feint. You fish out an unsafe move from an opponent by making them think you're doing a certain action when you're not.

Also there are ways to fight against people holding down left click. You could just use a ranged weapon or a character ability. or step backwards and wait for another opportunity to go in. etc. Since you know theres the option to cancel the focus attack while baiting the parry, why not plan around it... If all this is considered RNG to you, then yea sure, every single fighting game out there is RNG. lmao.

Parrying and dodging is one of those mechanics that exist in other games as a reaction minigame. You read the enemy, you react to the enemy - you outplay the enemy. And if it works, it feels really cool. I mean, when you parrying in time and player drop his weapon, its really nice! But if its doesnt work, others *enemy's bubble* mechanics, like hitting the enemy using the grappling hook, or throwing in air and attack, are much faster and more difficult (or imposible) to read or react, and they are chaotic.

why not just watch some gameplay on youtube and decide if you wanna take the dive or not? There's always the option to refund.

Bruh at some point you have to make that decision yourself. No one here can tell you what you're going to enjoy because we don't know who you are or what you enjoy. There 5 pages in this discussion, if you haven't made the decision now then don't get it. I thought it looked cool and saw myself playing it within a few days of looking into it, so I bought it and I'm enjoying it.

Doesn't mean you or anyone else will. So figure it out yourself. Watch videos. Does the thought of playing it excite you? Then play it. If not? Then don't.

Remember: Free trial weekends and such do happen often in games like these so just keep an eye out and try it then.

Never seen so many comments of people complaining about bots once again like its a big issue. Fortnite and other games do it and if you get a bot so what? Move on because eventually you get a real player. Its like people need something to complain about and are so picky like when they show up at a restaurant they never been too and have to find something they dont like rather than what they might like. THE GAME IS GOOD NOT PERFECT BUT ITS OK. If you complain that the combat is bad, get better and practice and dont think a refund is necessary right away like you dont know how to play a fighting game and learn the proper counters or movement.

If you don't need a challenge and you are ready to win 100% of the fights against stupid bots - no problem here, you get *clicker nobrain gameplay* when the bots suddenly runs into the wall.
