Not many other melee-based team games out there
The global popularity is largely an illusion. If you check steam charts you can see that the games population happens to grow exactly when its about 3PM in China and then climbs until it peaks at about 10PM...in China...and then drops down to less than 1/10th the total game population.
In simplest terms, 90% of the games """global""" player base is actually mainlander Chinese playing the game in China with the remaining 10% being the international audience. Even then, a significant portion of the international audience is Chinese citizens who live abroad. The game has no real international presence because the devs ignored their international audience at the games inception. There is a reason the majority of the board posts are in Chinese.
Why do you hope it dies faster? Just leave, i log in to play daily cause it's an actual fun game. Do i go in to the BR everyday? No, but it is a fighting game at it's core, so i like to make use of my time here. I could have spent my time somewhere else- but whatever someone does with their free time should not be disregarded. I do play BR sometimes but only with friends/ rando's or play vs the bosses in showdown, hang out in customs with silly rules or socialize in the lobby. I have no business in ranked, because i know my place, but that doesn't mean i should hate the game or the community, people are just good.
Because of the different gap b/w the culture and religion of the West and the East, NA and EU server are not as crowded as SEA/ Asia server.
The J CUP of this game is happening, there're a lot of pro players who come from the West join with us.

So you have a group of very active long time players.
No, we have a 100k member group on Facebook. Naraka is very well-known in Vietnam because we are all about the Martial Art games.
