Game is definitely only truly popular in Asia so much so that even the Asians from there that are bad come here in NA to compete with high ping to make themselves feel better.

Because you played without Booster. Booster gives Chinese players less than 200 ms on all available servers.
Though, it is completely useless for others, I think. Ať least, that how it was in my case.
