Why do I have 500+ ping

??? NA shows 550ms for me when launching the game and choosing servers

Not sure it's temporal. Every time I have launched Naraka in the last 2 weeks since I started playing I see 550+ ping for NA on the login screen.

The tap to start page that has the servers and latency is bugged. Actual match Latency is a lot lower then what it reports on that screen. it shows 550 + on mine and I get 15-20 MS in game.

Thanks for that info, is it easy to see my ping in game?

I was looking through my options but couldn't find it.

It is weird, I always have green ping for my server, at least. I don't check others usually, but i saw 500+ few times, when global network was busy at "another" parts.

You didn't changed your own internet provider? It depends a lot on provider too. They use different routes. And they can change them too.
Sometimes ppl, that live closer, have higher ping because of different providers.
But yeah, they can change location. EU server seems same for me, not sure about others. If you played from Naraka's launch, there were more servers, though.

Ah, yeah. Usually fps doesn't affect ping because server check players actions at constant time. But here, maybe, if player sends more frames, latency is lower and ping is lower. It can be just not "real" ping, that you see on screen. But combination of some parameters. That "feature" of Naraka is well known)
Though, it can be just your client side calculation, that has nothing to do with real gameplay. So, basically, for all other players your connection is the same)
To test this you can play in lobby with someone, doing same parry stuff - if other player or you will spot any difference, when you change fps or not.

These spikes can be from other players. Sometimes I have lag fest in lobby just before match starts, meanwhile my own ping to server is low and fps is high.
Also parrying ppl, that came from other servers a bit tricky too.
