please disable hvci_kmci
What next? "please give us your Steam password"? :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Bro, maybe you'd better develop a normal anti-cheat instead of this piece of crap?

Any good anti-cheat will have more control over your PC than you do. That's if it's not server-side, which is hard to implement. Clients can basically do anything on their own side of the game. If that's too intrusive I guess don't install the game like I am doing.

Wait until they allow you to keep it enabled

Any good? Why Fortnite, Apex, R6, CS:GO or even PUBG don't tell me to do the same? What kind of ridiculous excuses are these?

I am not crazy :lunar2019grinningpig: What upsets me the most is that so many people have easily turned off this setting.

We don't have publicized data on efficacy of anti-cheat in those games. What we do know is that in regions where cheating is prevalent they have found it necessary to disable it to ensure functional anti-cheat capability (Microsoft disables it by default in China and Korea according to their own documentation). It may be that the hacks they are using can hide in the memory that is protected. If you have issues do not install it is that simple.

The fact is that you should never disable this. If cheating is so bad then there's something else going on. Why does Overwatch, for example, rarely have cheaters but still somehow doesn't ask you to do blatantly dangerous and reckless modifications to the integrity of your machine?

I didn't know that this game has such a terrible anti-cheat, so all I have to do is delete this game

No, if this actually is malicious just deleting would not be enough because you already clicked Yes on the UAC Prompt. Everyone freaking out about the HVCI thing literally already blindly clicked the "Yes Install Whatever You Want On My PC!" button, but please do keep roleplaying about how good yall are at IPSEC

Can also run it on Linux because HVCI is a strictly Windows 10/11 thing related to hardware security that yall goobers hadn't even heard of until this game

If you got to the HVCI Prompt it means you already clicked the "Install whatever you want on my machine" button, in case youre wondering what level of "Security Experts" youre dealing with here
