It is just hardware enforced code integrity. it is safe. The developers are not doing anything malicious with their anti cheat or data collection, they collect less data on you then fortnite and valorant which use even more invasive anticheats.
It is safe , just like the other poster said, and by the next update we are updating the game so you can leave it on and play since so many people are worried about turning it off
OH THANK GOD. I CAN FINALLY PLAY THE GAME. Used to play when it first came out, then it asked to disable HVCI suddenly. Haven't played it since but I do miss the gameplay.
I'll return when that update drops. Keeping an eye out.
We heard you and listened , also myself and a few others pushed really hard with the devs to get it updated.
From Microsoft:
Memory integrity is a virtualization-based security (VBS) feature available in Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2016 and later. Memory integrity and VBS improve the threat model of Windows and provide stronger protections against malware trying to exploit the Windows kernel. VBS uses the Windows hypervisor to create an isolated virtual environment that becomes the root of trust of the OS that assumes the kernel can be compromised. Memory integrity is a critical component that protects and hardens Windows by running kernel mode code integrity within the isolated virtual environment of VBS. Memory integrity also restricts kernel memory allocations that could be used to compromise the system, ensuring that kernel memory pages are only made executable after passing code integrity checks inside the secure runtime environment, and executable pages themselves are never writable.
Although compatibility with memory integrity has been a requirement for all drivers since the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607), some applications and hardware device drivers may still be incompatible. This incompatibility can cause devices or software to malfunction and in rare cases may result in a boot failure (blue screen). Such issues may occur after memory integrity protection has been turned on or during the enablement process itself. If you're an application developer and want to validate that your drivers and software packages are compatible with memory integrity, follow these steps.
Some examples where we have observed incompatibilities with memory integrity include:
Anti-cheat solutions with gaming
3rd party input methods
3rd party banking password protection
We worked hard to mitigate impacted experiences, so if an incompatibility exists for a boot-critical driver, memory integrity protection will be silently turned off if it had been auto-enabled. If you encounter incompatibilities with other apps, we advise that you check for updates for the specific app and version encountering the issue before turning off memory integrity protection.
Windows provides choice and control for users to configure their PCs to meet their specific needs, including the ability to turn Windows features like Memory Integrity and VMP on and off. Gamers who want to prioritize performance have the option to turn off these features while gaming and turn them back on when finished playing.
You can get that info directly form the Microsoft support page about it.

no its not fake info sorry if your little brain cant comprehend google search.
Still puts your System at a risk, so hard to understand it?
no more or less then any other time, HVCI isn't an antivirus, and you can still get infected even with it enabled. Not sure why you all cannot comprehend that. It was a feature induced late into windows 10 and built into windows 11. read the links instead of ♥♥♥♥ riding Microsoft. No other os on the planet even supports it. It's not like you cant re enable it once you are done playing.
So, by your logic, because you can still be infected even with antivirus, you should not have antivirus enabled.
correct if you never activated virtulization or your cpu doesn't support VT-x or every feature of Vt-x it needs, it wont enable or worse yet run in emulation mode which taxes your cpu harder since it needs to run in software emulation on the pc.
