HDD No Longer Works After Playing
"We advise you download this game in an SSD" Sounds like a mere suggestion, they should probably change that. I'm not mad I can't play Naraka.

But I'm mad I can't play ANY of my steam games anymore. It happened after playing Naraka, the night before I played Naraka my steam was fine.

Now all my steam games are stuttering so badly it's unplayable. It's only my steam games, do I truly need to get another hard drive? I just brought this new hard drive less than 6 months ago.

I tried posting for advice on the sub reddit and my post got deleted within 30 minutes, I messaged the mod team. 10+ people and no one has replied in 16 hours.

I'm starting to think it's not just me, deleting my post and ignoring me is shady.

"It's only my steam games"... well you said it yourself, it doeasn't look like the HDD has broken if everything else is working. Try a couple of diagnostics programs.

My Samsung's SSD dead after trying to play new stage) Though, it was 6 years old, so, i guess, it is fine. It was not so funny to reinstall my Windows on new SSD + all steam games now need to installing again, because Steam just do not "see" them installed on my others ssd's (i have 4 in total).

I ran tests, monitor the useage, updated drivers, rolled back drivers, gave myself full control for better fps, check the gpu, ram, etc. I have been having this issue since Saturday morning and have tried everything I can think of. I even reset the steam client.

I wish I had a logical answer, I know it sounds crazy to say it doesn't work even tho I can play on other game client's. Maybe corrupted is the better word to use? After playing NBP Saturday I played Vanguard on the Blizzard app and went 35 - 4, I had zero issues.

I went to play GTA V, Elden Ring, Devil May 5, they all became majorly unstable even at the lowest settings. It's like this game made steam read my HDD wrong, I just brought this hard drive last November so I'm in the process of doing an RMA.

If other software runs without problems it shouldn't be SSD issue. But it's illogical and I don't even know what can be causing that.

whole thing sounds too crazy to believe in, no wonder naraka support doesn;t have an answer. are you even sure that this happened BECAUSE of naraka? from the way you describe the issue, it sounds like it could be anything whatsoever.

if you care so much about solving this issuem how about having a clean sheet on your system and just wipe everything on your pc and reinstall the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ windows? hell, even without wiping everything, reinstall could work just as well, since regisrty will be empty, you just gonna have to deal with clogged drive vulomes

I played three steam games Friday without any issues. Saturday around 10AM I tried NBP for the first time, after 18 minutes of gameplay stuttering and audio I turned it off. Figured it'll be a game I'll play later.

I hop on CoD ( Blizzard ) Everything is fine, I went 35 - 4. When I go back to steam that's when I notice issues. Suddenly my GTA V was stuttering even at lower settings, Elden Ring was stuttering, Devil May Cry 5.

I know it's crazy but that's the only connection I have. My hard drive was fine before playing NBP, I can play other clients but it's like NBP made steam read my hard drive wrong or it's corrupted.

I only have 18 mins of play time, I can easily get a refund but that's not what I want. I'm not stressed over losing $10, I'm stressed out I had to mess around with my PC for the past couple of days on my day off. 18 minutes, it took 18 minutes for my hard drive to get corrupted.

I can't post about this at all on reddit, they deleted my post within 30 mins of me posting. I sent them a message asking for help, 24+ hours later and still nothing.

I don't want a refund but they should think about changing: "We advise" to "This game only runs on SSD" they made it seem like it was a mere suggestion.

I have already started the RMA process, my hard drive wasn't even a year ago.

I don't want a refund, I just want the devs to be honest. If you created this game on an engine that only SSD's support then just say that. I read the "We advise" warning before buying it seemed like a mere suggestion.

Been gaming on PC for 6 years and I've never seen a message like that so I shrugged. Lesson learned, if they "advise you" to have X hardware it actually means it's mandatory.

But the game can be played on HDD. I played like that for a half of the year and my friend still plays on HDD. The only problem is long loading time in the first match of the day.

If you look up "HDD" or "SSD" on this games discussion you'll fine I'm not the only one having issues.

It was 6 years old, i do not remember) Now i get better Samsung and cheaper - something like 90$+-. Of course, i bought one of the best SSD for SATA3, there is no reason to buy cheap ssd - they are not so good. Well, same with M.2 ssd's.

My apologies, yes it's possible but very small. I have a new HDD on the way but honestly I don't even want to try it. I'll get an SSD later when I'm done being salty.
