Never had any problems with lag or connection issues recently even playing at 4K/240Hz. I have a beast PC set up though and a very stable Internet connection with low jitter & good ping to Naraka US servers.
1. A small contingent of Western players - No more than 5000 total. Likely a lot less.
2. Chinese whales - These players are the ones spending the majority of the money on this game and are what currently keep it from dying. There is a good number of them but they aren't the largest population of players.
3. Third-Party Bots - These are bots used by players looking to farm gold, complete dailies, and otherwise do things "in game" without having to actually play it.
You can see that the player base is unhealthy and suspicious because of the unusually wide margin that player counts swing by every day.
Look at the steam chart more closely. The game actually varies between 160,000 players and 18,000 players * daily *. That is not normal.
Do quickmatch and Herald's trial. Also shadow surge and bloodbath are quite popular.
I never had more than 5 minutes queue, party or no party
that's true. but you can get to level 10 really quickly, just do some non-bot matches. trust me, it's not much different from bot matches when you just started on Bronze, as people, just like you, don't really understand the game. plus, when you're newbies, many player slots are also filled by bots, then gradually get reduced in number as you gain levels
hopefully they will remove this restriction at some point, but for now it is what it is. it's a pvp game first and foremost
That's...really clever.
