Saying that characters are unbalanced and it will always be unbalanced is kinda silly to say. Gameplay balance is always an ongoing issue. If someone really is too overpowered, then why not speak up and let the devs know, instead of assuming that they'll leave the OP character and/or weapons as is? And I highly doubt any character that you have to pay for will be OP since that's a good way to piss off what little of a playerbase we're going to have for the international version, but this is a Chinese developed video game so I could be dead wrong.
Range weaponry is not overpowered due to the simple fact that all ranged weapons are projectiles and not hitscan, so ranged attacks can be dodged or even blocked and reflected. Some damage values could use some tweaks, though. Plus if you feel like you're taking too much damage from ranged weapons,, you could always equip ranged/headshot defense souljades to mitigate said damage. Melee is way more effective in this game than ranged, which is why most players either have two melee or one melee/one ranged weapon equipped before a fight breaks out. Rarely do players have two ranged weapons equipped during fights. This was mentioned in an interview with the devs. I'll have to look up where I saw it.
I wouldn't call it bad design, and HP bars only appear when you're attacking/being attacked for a short amount of time, I believe. Being able to find your opponents in a battle is a good thing. Players shouldn't be hiding and camping until the very end. They should be looking for opportune moments to fight.
And as for hackers: Yeah, there will probably be a few. It's inevitable, but at least if they get reported and banned, they'll have to pay $20 each time to get back in, which would just be a waste of their time and money.
Personally, I just want to enjoy the game for what it is and I know I'm going to get my $20 worth out of this easily. I couldn't care less if this game lives for four years or four weeks. I'm here for a good time. I'm not here for a long time.
Second of all, like why? There is not even a pay to win when everything is all about skills, the game hasn't even come out and your already like "oh need real cash to get a certain character." The beta all items you could buy with gold and in game currency so... I won't deny its half truth and your half BS-ing that it will and only be in cash. Lastly I hate people who hasn't even played the game and maliciously turn off others just because of your bias views. Anyone who had played the beta knows that range is not even op, the movement is so fast and so smooth an average player can barely hit the target. I don't care if you don't like the game but making things up when you haven't even played it yourself plus fake guessing information without quotes from the developer themselves about monthly packages and only payed characters with real cash then calling it pay to win. I truly hate people like you to the very core of my being, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fake gamer whose intention from the start was not right.
whatever, 4 days left!! yes!!!
You clearly didnt realy play the game and just talk out of a clip you have seen or sth...
The characters.. yea that can happen, but they dont have to be stronger than other - and as you didnt say: They balanced the new champion out and she is NOT op anymore.
Melee worse than range? Maybe if you are in range.. they will juggle you to death with melee. Good joke
p2w? I havnt seen anything in the game that is p2w at all. There are runes... yea.. but they are obtained for free and the upgrade isnt too expensive. Only tae currency could be a bit dodgey if the grind is too long and you run out of it fast. In all betas and the CN server i had yet to run out though.
Hackers: will be in every game.. escpecially chinese tend to hack.. CN does not equal to EU/NA etc. And doesnt need to be
Unable to dodge? You never went to trees i gues.. there are so many ways to get away and outzone
This
They HAD to add bots for beta.. how would you test the bots if noone played bot games?
Can agree: CN has pretty much no bots after maybe 2 games. And Squad has barely any either.. and starting silver pretty much no at all
2. Character balance will be ongoing. They already nerfed the healer during the beta. Hero shooters like Overwatch and Paladins are the exact same, balance patches can change the meta, this is normal.
3. You probably didn't play the beta at all. Headshotting a moving target is pretty difficult in this game (especially due to the grappling hook) and melee is far more consistent damage output as a result in my experience of playing the beta.
4. I think I've hidden from players in bushes during the beta.
5. Nearly every competitive game has hackers. This game is B2P which will mitigate what the anti-cheat doesn't catch, and hackers having to repurchase every time they get banned will end up costing a pretty penny. The #1 player in NA in the beta was Mime, who is just a really good player and has plenty of content posted on YouTube/Twitch. Hacking in this game would likely be super obvious and easily catchable through spectating, since it's mostly melee based and the teleport attacks are yeah extremely obvious.
But yeah continue to hate on the game, it's your prerogative to do whatever you want bud.
I mean, there a tons of dead battle royale games that isn't made by chinese developers, sorting dead games by nationality? come on be more mature.
2. New characters being strong than old ones? Have you ever played a multiplayer game that releases new content? That is the most universal rule among games that release characters post-release. Look at League of Legends.
3. Complaining about the ranged weapons, or even the balancing? It was a demo. They are TESTING the game. So..they can balance it? If you need an example look at their most recent dev post.
4. The game in not intended for you to hide, and that is by design. The game is created with the intention of directing players to fight. If you are worried about hiding, go play Dead by Daylight.
I am shocked to see some people saying the things that they have been on the steam discussions for this game. The game had nearly 150k+ concurrent players on demo, and I have yet to speak to a human who didn't give it a shining review. If you are just going to try and urge people not to buy the game, don't bother. Go back to reddit or something.
