Fanatec CSL DD must use Compatibility mode not PC mode...

For anyone who is using Fanatec CSL DD base, you should change its mode to Compatibility (yellow LED) mode before entering the game, this should be a bug.

Yes, I have reported this issue days ago with the logs, it seems this is not addressed in the latest patch. :(

Yeah CSL DD working for me also in PC mode, not sure what your issue is but it isn't the game, all controls, force feedback and sensitivity settings work with the DD

Strange...I remembered in the first place game will not crash and I can set up the CSL DD wheel (but it has the issue when assigning keys), but after some time, the game will 100% crash if it detects the CSL DD is turned on. Not sure why but I've sent the bug report with logs to their team...
