EDIT 15.5.2025: This issue seems to be fixed with the latest update, no problems anymore with this for me!

I keep getting this crash message whenever i try to load into a single player race.

In multiplayer i got a different crash message which i did not even bother to really look at, i was actually able to spectate a race just fine but sadly when a new one was starting the game crashed and almost bricked my pc lol, even task manager had a hard time getting it to shut down.

The game boots up fast, the menu works nicely, the race load screen is fine but while it is loading cars it just shows up the crash message as it is on the title (the game still seems to function, the loading cars bit spins but doesnt progress into the race).

I have potato pc with only 8gb ram, but i dont get shown a memory issue or anything like some other people have had in here, and all my other games work quite fine.

EDIT: The issue seems to be the bots. I can do a singleplayer race with max 2 bots, and multiplayer as long as there are no bots (or probably max 2), it works fine.

Yeah I have the same issue I sadly dont know how to fix it tho. I hope it gets fixed or something.

I had the same issue but you can change the settings when you launch in steam , in options theres a dropdown to use your graphics card

I have same problem, but texture size is 256x256 (low details settings) in my case.

I had this and fixed it by loading the settings instead of loading the game and then in the drop down i selected the other value for my GPU. I have a ROG STRIX gaming laptop with AMD gpu

yeah, the numbers change from somewhere around a 1000 to 4000, i do use low settings also.

thanks for the suggestion, but sadly when i try to launch the game with change settings i dont get any other options from the drop down menu

same here if i try to start a race the game loads my vram to 100% crashes and i get the same message

edit: got the game to start in custom races if i turn all grafik settings low and grid size to 1 guess i need a new grafiks card

I have same error, RAM 8gb
CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 3250u
GPU - Radeon graphics 3
Fatal error with texture 8192 x 8192
Running on low settings. Happening when I'm trying to start race or change the car
Maybe the developers can fix it?

I tested on my laptop and got this error ONLY when trying to play with more than 2 AI bots.
IF THE GRID SIZE IS 3 OR MORE, THE GAME CRASHES.
FATAL ERROR
Specifications: OS: Windows 11 24h2 CPU: Ryzen 7 5700u GPU: AMD Vega 7 (Adrenalin 24.9.1) RAM: 12 GB SSD nvme
OBS: the race starts only against 2 or less bots at 45 - 60 fps.

Yes, same for me, i can only play against 2 bots.

I got a new gaming laptop today and I tryed to play wrackfest 2 but got a ( fatal error texture creation 16384x 16384 flags failed when I try to open a race i even try different settings
