Game immediately crashes to desktop

I launch the game and it begins to load. I get as far as the THQ NORDIC screen and just as it transitions to the main loading screen it crashes to desktop. No errors or anything.

crashing on startup seems to be caused by multiple keyboard devices being plugged in during startup. i use 2 corsair keybaords. one for gaming (Corsair K63) and another with a trackpad (Corsair K83). Resolved crashing on start up by unplugging the K83 keybaord dongle.

I too have this issue, two logos and then immediately drops to desktop.
I tried different settings, to no avail.
That's all the jumping through hoops that I'm doing.
There's enough people with this problem, THQ just need to fix it already!
Early access is one thing... DOA is quite another!

This fixed it for me. However, you don't need to physically disconnect the devices - I just disabled my handbrake in device manager (look for HID-*). It happens in other games but doesnt usually cause crashes, it usually just stops the gamepad working properly... (e.g. EA FC 25)

Go to documents/my games and delete the wreckfest2 folder. Then restart the game, what makes the game crashing on startup is having more than msaa 2x.

I'm having this problem too. I just plug in a controller, that the only usd device. Game crashes right when the car selection screen comes on after picking a game mode

Managed to get into a game by deleting the save files and launching the game from the change settings and setting the settings to low
Update: getting in was COMPLETE luck, i did not manage to get in again :(

Now I have had this error when I clicked on "show hud" with my xbox elite controller. But it does not replicate with the mouse.
I am sure a big patch is coming soon from THQ/Bugbear. Patience kiddies.
