How do I split a stack of stuff?

Tried holdiing shift, alt, dragging, right clicking, left clicking..

Currently the only way to split items in to click on the item in your inventory, drag the item off the menu to drop items individually. The team is considering other actions to help with bag management and stack splitting but currently that is the only way.
